Detailed description
Story attached by the author to this sound recording:Last Traces of Winter – Footsteps on Melting Snow.
As winter slowly retreats, it leaves behind a compact, icy layer of snow – heavy, dust-covered, and shaped by the thaw. The once soft powder is gone, replaced by a damp surface that yields under each step. In this sound recording, you hear the distinctive crunch and squelch of footsteps on the final snow of the season. The snow remains moldable – perfect for snowballs – yet every sound signals the approaching end of winter. A vivid acoustic snapshot capturing nature in transition.
