At the highest, barely accessible peak of the Zillertal Alps, this audio recording captures the raw force of the stormy, icy wind. Dry snow is swept from the summit, forming a swirling frost cloud. Within moments, the microphones become buried under a layer of snow. You will hear the howling wind and the hiss of snow crystals sliding across the frozen surface – a soundscape from the edge of human endurance in the high mountains.
