Detailed description
Story attached by the author to this sound recording:Whirlpools at Rhine Falls offers an immediate listening perspective on one of Europe’s most impressive natural sound environments. The recording was made very close to the area where boats approach Rhine Falls, creating an exceptionally immersive sound scene without being recorded directly on board.
The sound is shaped by the continuous roar of falling water, turbulent current movement, and the distinctive pressure-filled whirlpools of the falls. This interplay of motion, depth, and force gives the recording a remarkable acoustic presence. Rather than remaining a distant background wash, Rhine Falls unfolds here as a raw, vivid, and powerful natural atmosphere.
