At the entrance of Plitvice Lakes National Park, Veliki Slap (The Big Waterfall) greets visitors with an awe-inspiring sight. Water plunges from an impressive height of 87 meters, right into the heart of the valley below. The viewing platform is thoughtfully designed to offer a full panoramic view all the way to the waterfall’s peak.
In peak flow, more than 4,000 liters per second can cascade down, creating a mesmerizing wall of water. Spread across multiple crevices in the rock face, this falling veil becomes a shimmering curtain of rain – an unforgettable natural spectacle.
