They rank as one of Austria’s most popular destinations. This audio recording captures the sound of the last freely flowing glacial river in the Eastern Alps. Over thousands of years, the roaring whitewater has shaped the rocks into impressive cascades and cataracts. With powerful swirls, the water plunges dramatically into the Umbal Valley. From this viewing platform, visitors can enjoy a stunning view of the cascading rock formations. The platform also features an inscription: „Der Bach fließt in mir – Ich erlebe den Bach voller gewaltiger Mengen an Gletscherwasser … und verbinde die Symbole meines Lebens mit denen des Wassers.“
